All Marriage Celebrants: Must be authorised by the Commonwealth Attorney General's Department
Notice: A Notice of Intended Marriage needs to be lodged a calendar month and a day
* before the date of your wedding
* with the celebrant you choose
Documents: You must be over the age of 18 years and not legally married to any other person anywhere.
To verify this you will need * Birth Certificates (if Australian born, essential) or Passports

* Divorce or Death certificates if you have been married before
These must be Originals or Certified Copies - NOT photocopies
Witnesses: You need two people over the age of 18 to act as witnesses
